Today Welsh Government is launching their second Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) National Strategy. It will cover the period to the end of the current administration in 2026. It is marked by a commitment to tackle cause as well as effect.
This strategy is an opportunity for the Welsh Government and its partners in the public, private and third sectors to take action to tackle male violence, gender inequality and misogyny head on.
Delivery of the VAWDASV strategy will be overseen by the new National Partnership Board, with partners across Wales sharing ownership of the actions. The strategy seeks to end VAWDASV by taking a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary approach, with agencies across Wales all working together.
The strategy sets out our vision to make Wales the safest place in Europe to be a woman.
