Bawso visits Llanberis museum in North Wales on 12th April 2024

Bawso service users in North Wales are looking forward to a once in a lifetime visit to the National slate museum in Gwynedd to learn about the Welsh slate industry. It is an exciting trip for all of us to get to the outdoors and enjoy the spring weather but also to learn about the importance of the slate industry and its contribution to the Welsh economy and social life.

This visit is part of the Bawso BME oral story telling project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund which is a partnership between Bawso, the  George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling (GEECS) at the University of South Wales (USW) and National Museum Wales (ACNMW).  If you have visited Llanberis National Museum, please share your experience and your stories with us via email: publicity.event@bawso.org.uk. Chat with us on social media and come back here to catch up on our visit.
