Government commitment to victims of abuse and violence

The Victim and Prisoners Act 2024 is intended to improve the experiences of victims within the criminal justice system and enhance public safety.

As part of the commitments in the Act, the government has commenced the first tranche of victim-related measures in the Victim and Prisoners Act 2024.
