Bringing Smiles This Summer – Thanks to National Lottery Funding

Bawso is delighted to announce that we have received £19,913 in funding from The National Lottery Awards for All Wales. This generous support will enable us to deliver a range of summer activities for children and families affected by domestic abuse in the Cardiff area.

The funding will provide opportunities for children to enjoy safe, engaging, and joyful experiences throughout the summer, including park games, a picnic, and a trip to Barry Island beach. In addition to these enriching activities for children, the project will also help mothers, who are survivors of domestic abuse to access essential support services during this period.

Upon hearing the news, one mother supported by Bawso shared her excitement: “I would like to go to Barry beach. I have heard people talk about Barry, but I have never been. I’m so happy that my children will be out playing on the beach.”
