Bawso, hosted the Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Conference on February 6th, in celebration of the International Day against Female Genital Mutilation. The conference aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of FGM, and to engage in meaningful discussions about how to end this harmful practice. The conference brought together leading experts in the field, including human rights advocates and community leaders , who shared their knowledge and experiences in the fight against FGM.

The conference was opened by the () of Bawso, who emphasized the importance of working together to end FGM and to protect the health and well-being of women and girls.
